Berkley Police Department Advisory
Due to the ongoing severe weather, roadways in Berkley are NOT safe for travel at this time. Over the last few hours, our officers and emergency personnel have responded to multiple calls to assist stranded and stuck motorists, and conditions continue to deteriorate.
For your safety, and for the safety of our first responders, we are urging all residents to please stay off the roads until conditions improve.
Additionally, keeping the roads clear allows Highway Department crews to do their jobs effectively. When unnecessary traffic is on the road, it slows down plowing efforts and creates dangerous situations for both motorists and highway workers.
Please stay home, stay safe, and allow our emergency and highway crews the room they need to operate.
