PARKING INSTRUCTIONS AND DETAILS
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, please review the parking information below before arriving. Parking volunteers will be available throughout the day to assist and direct traffic as needed.
Important Traffic & Road Closure Information
Visitors should expect increased traffic and temporary road closures throughout the day due to event activities and the Berkley 250th Road Race.
North Main Street between the Berkley Public Library and the northern end of the Berkley Common will be heavily restricted during the morning hours and may not be accessible to general traffic until after the Road Race concludes (expected around 11:00 AM).
In addition, the throughway connecting Porter Street and North Main Street will be closed for the duration of the event. Please do not park in this area and do not move or remove any barricades or traffic control devices.
Please follow all directions from police officers, event staff, and parking volunteers.
Before 11:00 AM, attendees should plan to use Berkley Middle School or BayCoast Bank for parking, as access to areas around the Common and Town Hall may be restricted due to the Road Race.
Road Race Participants
Participants in the Berkley 250th Road Race should park at:
- Berkley Middle School, 21 North Main Street, Berkley, MA
Please allow extra time to walk to the race start area on the Common.
Vendors
Vendors may begin arriving and setting up after 6:00 AM.
To ensure a safe and orderly setup process, vendors will be permitted access to North Main Street until 8:00 AM to unload and park behind their assigned vendor spaces on either side of the Common.
After 8:00 AM, North Main Street will become increasingly busy with Road Race participants and event traffic, and access may be restricted.
Vendor vehicles may remain parked in their designated locations until the Vendor Fair concludes at 3 PM.
All vendors will receive a parking pass by email prior to the event and should display it prominently in their vehicle.
Volunteers
Volunteers should park at:
- Berkley Town Hall, 1 North Main Street, Berkley, MA
Please note that access to Town Hall may be limited during Road Race activities.
Volunteers arriving before the Road Race concludes who are unable to access Town Hall should park at:
- BayCoast Bank, 2 Locust Street, Berkley, MA
All volunteers will receive a parking pass by email prior to the event and should display it prominently in their vehicle.
Accessible Parking
Accessible parking will be available beginning at 11am at the conclusion of the Road Race
- Berkley Town Hall, 1 North Main Street, Berkley, MA
- BayCoast Bank, 2 Locust Street, Berkley, MA (as space allows)
Access to Town Hall may be limited until the Road Race concludes (expected around 11:00 AM). Vehicles displaying a valid accessible parking placard or license plate will be accommodated as access becomes available.
General Event Parking
General event parking will be available at:
- Berkley Middle School, 21 North Main Street, Berkley, MA
- Designated roadside parking areas surrounding the Common where permitted
Beginning at 11:00 AM, additional public parking will be available at:
- Berkley Congregational Church, 13 South Main Street, Berkley, MA
Visitors are encouraged to carpool whenever possible and allow extra time for parking and walking to the event grounds.
Food, Beverages & Coolers
Guests are welcome to bring a small cooler with water and other non-alcoholic beverages for personal use.
To comply with Massachusetts liquor laws, alcohol may not be brought into or consumed outside of our licensed beer and wine areas. Alcoholic beverages may only be purchased and consumed within the designated beer and wine gardens operated by our approved, insured vendors.
A variety of food and beverages will be available throughout the day. Beer and wine service begins at 11:00 AM, with additional food vendors opening around 12:00 PM. The Boondocks Restaurant will also be open during the celebration.
A Note About Boondocks Parking
Please help us support one of our local businesses by leaving the Boondocks parking lot available for their customers. Boondocks will be open and serving patrons throughout the day, and their parking area is not designated for event parking.
We kindly ask all attendees to use the designated event parking locations and follow directions from parking volunteers.
Parking Passes
All volunteers and vendors will receive parking passes by email prior to the event. Please print your pass or have it available for display and place it prominently in your vehicle while attending the celebration.

Restroom Information
For the convenience of our guests, portable restrooms will be available throughout the celebration grounds. We will also have an ADA-accessible restroom available to ensure all attendees can comfortably enjoy the day’s events. Please refer to event signage or ask a volunteer for directions to the nearest restroom location.

E-Bikes & Electric Scooters
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees, electric bikes (e-bikes), electric scooters, and other motorized personal transportation devices are not permitted within the event grounds during the celebration. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for families, children, and pedestrians.
Pets
Well-behaved pets are welcome to join the celebration! For the safety and comfort of all guests, pets must be kept on a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and ensuring they remain under control throughout the event. Thank you for helping keep the Common clean and enjoyable for everyone.
Lost & Found
If you misplace an item during the celebration or find something that appears to be lost, please visit the Welcome, Information & Volunteer Tent. Our team will maintain a Lost & Found throughout the day and will do our best to reunite items with their owners. Found items may also be turned in to any event volunteer, who can direct them to the Welcome, Information & Volunteer Tent.
