Help Protect Berkley’s Natural Resources
The Town of Berkley is seeking a community-minded resident to serve on the Conservation Commission.
The Conservation Commission plays a vital role in preserving Berkley’s wetlands, waterways, forests, wildlife habitat, and open spaces. Members help ensure responsible growth while protecting the natural resources that make our community unique.
What You’ll Do
· Review applications under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act
· Participate in site visits and public meetings
· Help guide environmental and conservation initiatives
· Work collaboratively with residents, boards, and town staff
· Support the stewardship of Berkley’s natural resources
Who Should Apply?
No prior experience is required.
Residents with an interest in:
· Environmental conservation
· Land use and planning
· Agriculture
· Engineering
· Biology
· Natural resources
· Community service
are encouraged to apply. Training and support are available for new members.
Time Commitment
Conservation Commissioners are volunteer appointees of the Select Board. Members typically attend one to two meetings per month, along with occasional site visits and training opportunities.
