BLIZZARD UPDATE – STATE OF EMERGENCY DECLARED ![]()
![]()
As the upcoming blizzard approaches, the Governor has declared a State of Emergency, and Berkley Fire/Rescue has been actively preparing.
Additional in-station staffing has been added at both stations to ensure we are ready to respond.
Our Berkley CERT Team stands ready to open a Warming Center or Emergency Shelter if extended power outages occur.
In the event of outages, we will work closely with TMLP to monitor the duration and determine if a center or shelter needs to be activated.
If a Warming Center or Emergency Shelter is opened, we will notify residents immediately through:
Social Media
Town Websites

We ask all residents to follow State of Emergency guidelines and stay off the roads unless you are an essential worker. Please allow our Berkley Highway Department plow crews the space they need to keep roads clear for emergency vehicles.
Now is the time to check on neighbors, charge devices, fuel generators safely, and make sure you’re prepared.
Stay safe, Berkley — we’re ready. ![]()
