Friday, October 30, 2026 | 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM
As we continue preparations for Halloween on the Common, the Town of Berkley would like to share some important updates regarding road closures, parking, pedestrian traffic, and candy donations.
Road Closure
North Main Street, from Locust Street to Porter Street, will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 4:00 PM on Friday, October 30, 2026, and will remain closed until approximately 9:00 PM.
Residents and motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly and seek alternate routes during this time.
Event Parking
Parking will be available at the following locations:
• BayCoast Bank parking lot
• Berkley Middle School
• Porter Street: Parking will be permitted on the Town Common side of the street, with nose-in parking only.
The small parking lot on the Town Common will be reserved for Town employees and event volunteers.
Accessible Parking: Designated accessible parking will be available at Berkley Town Hall. Those requiring accessible parking should approach from South Main Street and enter on the south side of the Town Common for accommodation.
Additional parking information may be provided as we get closer to the event.
Pedestrian Route & Activities
To promote a safe and organized experience for families, the event will follow a designated pedestrian route:
- Town Common Baseball Field: Begin with the Berkley PTO’s Trunk or Treat.
- Town Hall: Cross North Main Street and enter through the south entrance of Town Hall.
- Public Safety Building: Continue through the Public Safety Building for additional Halloween festivities.
- Berkley Public Library: Cross the street to finish the route at the Library.
We ask attendees to follow the designated route and any directions provided by event staff and public safety personnel.
Candy Donations – Thank You, Berkley!
The response from our community has been fantastic!
Town Hall has collected more than half of its goal of 6,000 individually wrapped pieces of candy, and donations will continue to be accepted throughout the week leading up to the event.
We sincerely appreciate the generosity of our residents, businesses, and community organizations who have helped make this event possible.
Any candy donations received in excess of what is distributed during Halloween on the Common will be saved for use during other Town celebrations throughout the winter.
We Look Forward to Seeing You!
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered, donated, and helped coordinate this community celebration.
We look forward to welcoming families to the Town Common on Friday, October 30th, for an evening of Halloween fun!
